On October 18, 2021, the 5th CommercialAircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) International Science and TechnologyInnovation Week with the theme of "Wisdom Leading Test Flight, Dreaming ofBlue Sky" opened at the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China TestFlight Centre. The event was hosted by COMAC, Harbin Institute of Technologyand ISAE, with the Soft Electric Instituteas an important supporter of the week. Experts and scholars from domestic andforeign governments, universities, enterprises and research institutes attendedthe event in an "online + offline" manner, aiming to seek industrialinnovation and technological progress through comprehensive, multi-faceted andin-depth exchanges.

This year's COMAC International Scienceand Technology Innovation Week will last for a week from 18 to 22 October. Theevent is based on the theme of "Leading Test Pilots, Dreaming of BlueSkies", with COMAC Innovation Forum, sub-symposiums, test flight specialscience and technology activities, student aviation creativity competition andother sections to exchange basic science, explore cutting-edge technology,solve difficult problems and promote innovation and cooperation.

At the site of the Science Week, theZoological Institute showcased a series of technical products applied to thedomestic large aircraft. The nearly four-metre model of the aircraft is aflexible microsystem for online monitoring of the health status of the aircraftstructure based on a flexible chip. Visitors only need to gently press the wingand the relevant data will be presented on the screen in real time, and thesystem can achieve strain], acceleration, temperature attitude and othermulti-source signal acquisition and data transmission wirelessly, and its thin,light and flexible features can be co-formed with the wing, which is suitablefor a variety of narrow and non-planar spaces, compared with Compared withtraditional measurement methods, it can save more than 70% of the wiringworkload, greatly improving the wiring efficiency and reducing the difficultyof wiring


"This is a fatigue state monitoringand early warning system applied to pilots during the whole phase of theirflight missions." While demonstrating to the visiting guests, thetechnical staff from the Soft Electric Institute introduced, "The systemcan capture the pilot's facial and hand movements in real time, usenon-invasive methods to collect ECG signals, and use deep learning toaccurately detect the pilot's fatigue status." In addition to these twotechnical products, the Institute also brought a number of advancedachievements serving the domestic large aircraft such as buttons and turninghandwheels.


Taking this year's Science and TechnologyWeek as an opportunity, the Institute has established a service station,actively participated in innovation forums, seminars and exhibitions ofscientific research achievements, cooperated with COMAC to promote the testflight service project of domestic civil aircraft, and made every effort topromote the development and manufacture of national civil aircraft and theconstruction of a strong civil aviation country.
